This hour-long session will introduce environmental history to students who are new to the field. It will provide a short introduction to the history of modern environmentalism, discuss analytical tools and guide students through a hands-on activity for studying environmental history, and finish with a discussion of ways that students can pursue environmental activism by contacting and engaging local representatives and networks.
