Event Description
As the clock ticks down to the moment of the eclipse and the stunning, breathtaking event itself, relationships forged on the trek out west deepen and bloom, leaving each scientist and us to ask that ever-timely and magnificent question what and who makes America, America? A concert and conversation about the creation of a new musical with award-winning artists David Baron (author), Michael John LaChiusa (composer/lyricist/librettist) and Bill Rauch (director). Set in 1878, American Eclipse, a new musical, is a story about three American pioneers of science and their ambitions, failures, and resilience that laid the foundation for America's rise to scientific greatness.
