Event Description
Join the Friends of Laurel Hill between Earth Day and Arbor Day to learn why trees are so necessary to city life–from cooling down hot summer temperatures to filtering out pollution in the air we breathe—and how urban forests, like Laurel Hill West’s arboretum, can provide a place of respite and renewal. Following an educational tour of spring trees like magnolia and cherry in bloom, watch a demonstration on planting and caring for trees in your neighborhood, enjoy tree-inspired teas and snacks, and participate in nature poetry and leaf-pressing activities under the new blossoms.
