Event Description
The event consists of the discussion of three topics in three roundtables: "The origin of environmental history in San Luis Potosí", "The contributions from history to the local environmental problems", and "The future of environmental history: How to improve the dialogue and contributions of environmental history to environmental sciences and society?". The participants will be environmental historians and environmental scientists. The invited environmental historians come from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP), the Colegio de San Luis and the Universidad Iberoamericana, and the environmental scientist come from the Programa Multidisciplinario de Posgrado en Ciencias Ambientales, UASLP. We intend that this event renews the inter-institutional dialogue for the strengthening of local environmental history and the international visibility of its contributions.

Attendance
the expected face-to-face audience is students (30), environmental historians (10), environmental scientists (10), and general audience (30): 80 in total; and at least 400 via facebook
