Queer@Environmental History - Environmental History Week/Month Event

  • April 27, 2023
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Zoom

Event Description
This event will gather Queer/LGBTQAI+ identifying scholars working on environmental history and humanities projects to meet one another, network, and build community. Scholars from anywhere in the world working on any time period, geography, or method are welcome! This will be a conversation-based event meeting over Zoom. There’s no need to prepare anything in advance. If we have sufficient numbers, we’ll breakout into small groups. We will introduce ourselves, share a bit about our work, and make connections for future community-building, such as planning events for Queer scholars at environmental history and humanities conferences in the future. This event is brought to you by Queer@EH, a growing network of Queer/LGBTQAI+ identifying scholars working on EH. To ensure a safe space for everyone, we request that you register for this event in advance (check out the Eventbrite link in this listing!). Shortly before the start of the Zoom meeting, we will send a link for signing into Zoom. Several of the event organizers will also be making sure the conversations in the event itself are safe and affirming. If you cannot make this event, but are interested in hearing about future Queer@EH events, share your email and little about yourself on this form. Feel free to share this form and the above information with any colleagues or friends who might be interested! Looking forward to meeting you! For any questions on this event or our group, please reach out to us at queer.at.eh@gmail.com — we’d love to hear from you!

Attendance
No limit! Might be a small conversation or large, depening on everyone's availability. If a large group, we will have breakout rooms!
